Jess Loxton
Physiotherapist & Exercise Scientist
M.Sc Doctor of Physiotherapy
B.Sc Exercise, Sport, and rehabilitation Science
APAM
Jess graduated from Curtin University with a Doctor of Physiotherapy Masters as well as a Bachelors degree in Exercise, Sport, and Rehabilitation Science.
She has an array of acute injury management skills and long term sports injury rehab knowledge in both contact and non-contact sports that she utilises to help her athletes return to their on-field/court best. Having treated numerous athletes across many sports she is able to tailor rehabilitation programs for individual needs and sports specific requirements whilst working alongside coaches, S&C, sports doctors and the greater multi-disciplinary team.
Outside of sport Jess currently runs classes for balance and functional strength where she strives to encourage clients to be the best they can be and return to a level above and beyond their baseline function. Building confidence, educating patients, and pushing clients to reach the potential she knows they are capable of achieving is a key reason why she is involved in the health, sport, and physiotherapy space.
Jess has had her own fair share of injuries and understands first-hand the physical and mental toll, as well as the importance of getting back to meaningful experiences in life, whether that be sport, playing with children (or pets), or return to work.
Jess has been around sport her whole life either playing or now on the sidelines supporting her athletes. She is now a runner for leisure, navigating her way to completing her first marathon.
Outside of sports you’ll find Jess at the beach, going on a hike with Alfie (the not so mini Dachshund), travelling somewhere around the world, or with her head in a puzzle.
